Fantasy Five: Slip and Fall

Fantasy Five: Slip and Fall

The ruckus outside in the hall could foil everything. Quickly, you retreat to a stall and assume the position in case there is sudden entry. You had already done the deed. No, not #2. You had finished your graffiti scam on your most recent victim establishment.  It usually goes like this:

1. You order your fast food, engage with the staff so they will remember you, eat.

2. You retreat to facilities when clear and then paint some hate graffiti in the restroom.

3. You come out filled with fake righteous indignation that you had to endure reading that.

4. You are careful to strew TP around and make other messes, so, when they apologize and claim it must have happened since the last cleaning, you pull an "aha! go look at that mess. No one is really cleaning anything if they say they are. Maybe if you did your jobs that would have been dealt with...." blah blah blah .

And so at best, you get a $10 gift card to cover your next fast food meal, or, at worst you get a free dessert. Usually "win win".  But not today.

See, the ruckus was from a 2-3 year old, untamed, and running around the dining area like a feral cat avoiding animal control.  In trying to avoid crashing into her, another customer swerves and dodges which launches the two, 32 oz drinks from the tray he is carrying into the air and then ultimately onto the floor. Right in front of the bathroom doors, a spreading stream of Diet Coke and sweet tea and ice run free like the toddler before them.

The crew member has not arrived yet for clean up and signage when you  realize the coast is clear and make a beeline to get out of there. Just after opening the door, you slip and fall cracking your head on the cement floor. A tributary of A-positive comes into view and stretches quickly to join the Diet Coke, Sweet Tea and ice stream.  You lose consciousness staring up at your hate artwork.

They're gonna need a bigger mop.
